Kitty
I never see my precious mother
I am looking for a little sister
Won’t you please tell someone lonely
For another to come find me
I’m sitting on my sunny shelf
Wishing for more than just myself
Staring into the floor I scratch
Fishing all day without a catch
Stay at home
I don’t use the phone
Please tell me where to find her
I’m not afraid to sleep all day
I am a lion but I am kinder
I know I should resist her yet
I cannot help insisting pining
Lying twisting on my back
Won’t you come play with me
Well I am waiting for that lucky day
Just knowing that you might come my way
It’s feeding me hope to play my ace
I’ll be chasing your tail and licking your face
Would you believe I am royalty
Everyday’s like I am retired
In a lair without a care
We’ll be lovers never fighters
Bored and spade we’ll have it made
I can think of nothing finer
When we meet I know you’ll agree
I’m a lion but I am kinder
All I fear is my desire
All my tears they make me blinder
I’m a dragon without fire
I’ve grown lazy less inspired
Well I am waiting for that lucky day
Just knowing that you might come my way
It’s feeding me hope to play my ace
I’ll be chasing your tail and licking your face
Would you believe I am royalty
Everyday’s like I am retired
In a lair without a care
We’ll be lovers never fighters
Bored and spade we’ll have it made
I can think of nothing finer
When we meet I know you’ll agree
I’m a lion but I am kinder
Pretty much everything. The playing is incredible and the compositions lovely. But most of all I love the intensity of listening, joy and collaboration that oozes from every piece. Three of today's finest jazz musicians who were clearly thirsting for live co-creation and pull off a masterpiece on this album. tjsimon1
A story of sadness, confusion, and despair ending in hope and certainty that the cosmos is not a random and meaningless jumble of atoms populated by mindless mechanical men, but a world of meaning, beauty, and truth. Emotions and the heart are not everything, but they are an essential part of being human. ianjworsomething
